Overview
African Trails has been running Africa travel camping safaris and overland expeditions in Africa since 1980. These Africa travel tours were such a success that, in the early 90s, the company expanded into the Middle East.
African Trails’ programs are aimed for the adventure traveler and their low prices are maintained by keeping overheads at a minimum while not cutting costs on the service or equipment provided. You will benefit from the services of a trained crew and well maintained vehicles and equipment. African Trails feels it is important that everyone gets the most out of their journey and guests are encouraged to get involved in all aspects of the expedition.
Currently, African Trails runs 34 different African and Middle East tours regularly; covering 26 countries with a departure for most trips every month. The overland tours range from the six-day Gorilla trip to an epic 43-week Trans Africa overland from London to Istanbul via Capetown.

This style of Africa travel has been tried and tested and it is without doubt the safest, most sociable and cost effective method of traveling around Africa in areas where public transport, roads, personal security, and finding accommodation can be difficult or even hazardous. African Trails uses specially converted and totally equipped trucks that can carry up to 30 people comfortably. The trucks carry enough fuel, food, and water to allow for travel to Africa for long periods off the beaten track and away from civilization if necessary.

Reservation Policy
A deposit of UK £150 is due two months before booking. For trips over ten weeks the deposit is £300. Final payment is due 60 days before departure. Local payment is paid on Day 1 to the tour crew.
Cancellation Policy
Cancellation of the booking by the client for any reason must be in writing, signed by the client, and received at the African Trails’ trading address. If cancellation is made 60 days before departure, all monies paid by the client will be refunded except for the deposit. If the booking is cancelled less than 60 days before departure, no refunds will be made.
